2009.11.2: Hunger, from the portfolio "Hunger"
PrintsA man surrounded by his family stands at center, gazing leftward into a shop window. He is wearing a scarf and a coat and holds his arms close to him as if against the cold. To the right, a woman in a kerchief and a cloak holds an infant, and at left a small boy folds his hands in front of him. Their faces are gaunt and their expressions are blank. They stare into the storefront window at shelves laden with various meats and other foods. Above these, pineapples and bananas hang from the ceiling.
