An engraving of an advertisement for a nightman with a decorative frame of columns and vines surrounding the text. At the top center of the frame, there is a crest consisting of a lion, and unicorn, and a crown. At the bottom center, there is an image enclosed in another decorative frame. The image portrays a city scene, with two horse drawn carriages parked in the street. Emerging from a home surrounded by a stone wall, two men carry a vessel hanging from a long plank over their shoulders.
