The back of head of a black girl, with her hair neatly sectioned off into small ornate braided loops.

In this black and white photo, the girl’s head is positioned in front of a plain white backdrop. Her small tight braids form three loops in each section around her head, close to the scalp. The section in the center top of her head has about five or six braided loops. We do not see her face, only the back of her ears and neck. The image is evenly lit, as if in a photo studio.
