M10452: "Then went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord,"
PrintsAt lower center, a bearded man sits beside a woman. They give a loaf of bread to a beggar at right who is lead by a small dog on a leash. On either side of this group, angels hover looking on with folded hands. Above, In a cloud of smoke and flame, a robed man with a flowing beard sits on a throne holding a book. He is surrounded on either side by angels and in front of him, a lone dark figure tumbles out of the cloud, directing the flames toward the head of the man seated below. In the margins a biblical text from the Book of Job is decorated with motifs of briars, flames and a serpent.
