Description
Back of book cover (burse) embroidered in "or nué" with arabesques incorporating hunting dogs, snakes and foliage. Braided tassles at two of four corners (two missing) and loop for toggle. Stiffened board backing covered in linen plain weave on which embroidery is done; green silk plain weave interior. Pieced together from pieces of a larger textile.
