A white porcelain box with latched top and painted scene on the lid depicts a seated man and woman.

This small hand painted porcelain box could fit in the hand. The upper half of the lid shows a seated fair-skinned couple holding hands. The women on right wears a pink and yellow hoop skirt dress, the man on left wears a long blue jacket with purple and white stockings as they sit in a natural landscape. The sides of the white box are trimmed with gold paint in a cross-hatch pattern with blue painted scallops in the corners.
