The recto of this folio features a watercolor landscape. At the bank of a river, a brown house stands before dark green trees. The atmospheric background is comprised of blue-grays of various saturation. At the top is the following inscription in pencil: “Court of …” The verso of this folio features an unfinished portrait of a gentleman, cut into an oval. There are pencil traces of robe exposing a shirt and arms coming forward. His face has been painted, with a full white and grey beard and a black mustache. He wears a white turban. Company School.
