Descriptions

Description
This is a selection of Bustan (Orchard) by Sa'di. It contains 16 folios, beginning with two illustrations in the frontispiece. The colophon states it was copied in Zhu'l-Qa'dah 907/ May 1502 in the hand of Muhammad b. 'Ala' al-Din Rizah'i in the city of Bakharz, village of Rizah.
The folios are remargined in gold-speckled paper of various colours, enclosed in a paper cover of gold-speckled on top and gold-speckled and marbled at the back.
