Descriptions

Description
This photograph represents three Korean gentlemen seated on the wooden floor (or stone steps?) of a veranda; seated outdoors, the gentlemen probably face a courtyard. The bearded, middle-aged gentleman in the center wears an official's robes, belt, and woven-horsehair hat. The square rank badge on his chest seems to represent an animal, which suggests that he is a military official. Two, younger, mustachioed men accompany him, one on his right and one on his left; they wear white robes and broad-brimmed hats. Each of the younger men holds a fan, one open, one closed.
