An engraving depicts numerous animals dressed as an acting as humans. Some animals act as soldiers, performing exercises or riding dogs as horses, while others dress in fancy clothing and dance. The image is segmented into three sections by two architectural columns in the foreground. A man emerges from behind the column on the right, holding out a stick. In the center of the image, several animals climb a ladder over a wall in front of a smoking building.
