A street scene with a vendor, bystanders and a small dog

Quick, soft gray lines show several figures in a city street. At center left a woman in Victorian dress looks on, as a man in a cap reaches into a bin on a stand. Both have their backs to the viewer. Closer to us, a small girl in a dress stands beside an older gaunt man. He leans against a wall with hands are in his pockets and a patch is visible on the leg of his pants. He and the girl stare ahead while a small dark dog in front of them walks toward us.
