Both sides of an irregularly shaped silver-gray coin with relief decoration on each side. 

On the side of the coin on the left is a man on a four-horse drawn vehicle facing left, wearing flowing clothing, a stick in his right hand, and the reins of the horses in his left. Above flies a winged woman also in flowing clothing, holding a wreath to crown the man. Below, a line under the horses is an assortment of armor, along with the Greek characters: K I M O N. The other side of the coin depicts the head of a woman facing left, wearing a necklace, her hair is tied back in a headband. Four dolphins surround her head along the border. On the headband are the Greek characters: K I M O N.

Obv.: Quadriga l., driven by male charioteer holding long crop; above, Nike flying r. to crown the charioteer; on exergue line, KIMON; in exergue, on stepped base, panoply, consisting of cuirass, shield, greaves and helmet; on the lower step [ATHLA]. Border of fine dots.
Rev.: SYRAKOSION (barely visible); head of Arethusa l.; on the ampyx, KIM; around, four dolphins. Border of fine dots.
