Descriptions Description Compressed globular jar with two loop handles and three flanged feet; cover slightly domed with loop knob at center and side walls slightly splayed, creating a bell-like silhouette; gray earthenware with three bands of incised horizontal lines encircling the body and abstract decorative patterns impressed between the upper bands and on the lid. Commentary Compare to: (1) Small covered tripod boxes with virtually identical decor excavated in 1983 from the early Western Han stone chamber tomb of the King of Nanyue on Mount Xianggang in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, now in the Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, Guangzhou. (2) Small covered tripod boxes with similar loop-knob and virtually identical decor excavated in 1976 from an early Western Han earth-mound tomb in Luobowan, Gui county, Guangxi province.
