Description
Compressed globular bottle with long neck, lobed mouth resembling a head of garlic, and short circular footring; gray earthenware with lightly burnished surface and abstract decoration created through heavier burnishing.
Commentary
Compare to:
Globular bottle of similar form with long neck and “garlic-head” mouth and an additional decorative ring on the neck excavated in 1984 from a mid- to late Warring States period (4th-3rd century BCE) tomb in Yilipo, Ankang, Shaanxi province. See Wenwu [Cultural Relics] 1 (1992): 66, fig. 6.13, pl. 2.
